1990 – is the year of foundation of the Burlington School of English language in London. The main aim of the School is providing innovative and quality English language courses.
You will study English language in a residential and nice part of Fulham in south-west London where the Burlington School of English is located. There are a lot of beautiful gardens, parks, shops, restaurants and stress-free access to all most favorite wonders of London.
English language programs of the School were designed for foreign learners, helping them in progress of their English language skills to be successful in their personal, academic and business goals. The courses of English join a communicative and comprehensive methods with cultural immersion in the language habits and customs of the United Kingdom.
The School is a member of English UK and accredited by ISI, as well as, The British Council and also is a Trinity Exam Centre.

The English courses we offer at the moment are the following:

We are an independent school with a friendly atmosphere and 30 years of experience in the education sector. Our school is now located in a short walk from Balham Underground Station which is on the 24-hour Northern Line (Black line). There are also regular trains to Victoria, London Bridge and Clapham Junction from Balham Rail Station. Please find our new address below:

We offer Onsite School Residence accommodation for our students. There are different room options, starting from a budget Dorm room and finishing with a Single Deluxe En Suite room in our School Residence. Kindly note, that breakfast from Monday to Sunday and lunch from Monday to Friday are already included in the price.

2. Courses The English courses we offer are the following:

  • General English
  • Examination courses (IELTS, Cambridge examinations: FCE, CAE, CPE)
  • A wide range of specialist courses (English language for teachers, Medical English, Cultural Studies, English for Academic purposes) – temporarily available only for individual lessons
  • Junior programmes during holidays
  • One to one tuition
  • Group and individual lessons online
  • 45 min workshops focused on grammar, writing and speaking.

Young Learners Programmes Included:
·         Onsite Student Residence Accommodation: 4-6 people per room, part of the rooms with private bathrooms in the room, some of them have shared bathrooms on the floor. The Residence is located in the same building as the school is. Check-in and check-out on Sunday.
·         Full board (breakfast, dinner, lunch)
·         General English course - 15 hours a week (Lessons are scheduled at 14.30-17.30)
·         Registration Fee
·         Accommodation Fee
·         Social Programme Mon-Fri - half-day excursions around London
·         Full day trip on Saturday
Not included in the package, however, available for extra charge:

  • Airport Transfer - price depends on the airport
  • Travel card - £50 per week, zone 1-3.
    Travel cards are not included in the price, however they are required for traveling in London for all students from 11 y.o.
    Students use public transport for social programme in London (they mainly travel by tube to avoid traffic). During trips, everyone uses their travel cards: some students book them at school, some buy cards by themselves, some of the students bring their own oyster cards and top up them upon arrival. Weekend trips are mainly intended out of a city and in this case,  school provides buses.
